Mr David Finch, MBChB, BSc

PhD Clinical Research Fellow (Colorectal Surgery)

Dr David Finch is a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) funded Anal Cancer Clinical Research Fellow based at the Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC), United Kingdom.

Clinically, Dr Finch is a senior trainee general and colorectal surgeon currently affiliated for anal cancer/precancer with The Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (Manchester) and Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (Preston).

Currently in year 3 of his PhD through the University of Manchester, his research interests focus on outcomes measurement and reporting in clinical trials, particularly in relation to anal high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (aHSIL).

At this year's Scientific Meeting, Dr Finch will present his results from the Core Outcome measures in Squamous Intraepithelial precursor lesions of the Anus study (the COrSIcA study), to determine a core outcome set (COS) for future late-phase aHSIL treatment trials.
