Dr David Finch, MBChB, PhD, BSc

David Finch is an ST8 colorectal surgery registrar in North West England and holds a PhD from the University of Manchester. His doctoral research developed an international core outcome set for anal HSIL treatment trials (The COrSIcA study) and examined methods for measuring disease burden. He contributed to establishing the first dedicated high-resolution anoscopy service in North West England at The Christie Hospital. David is a core writer for the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI) guideline on anal intraepithelial neoplasia, a member of the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) multizonal intraepithelial neoplasia guideline group, and served on the IANS Scientific Meeting Planning Committee (London 2025).
