Jan M. Prins
Professor of Infectious Diseases
Amsterdam UMC
Jan Prins is internist/ID physician and since 2016 head of the Department of Internal Medicine of Amsterdam UMC. Most of his research concerned treatment of HIV, in particular primary HIV infection, antimicrobial treatment, and antibiotic stewardship.
Since 2007 he has also been involved in clinical research on screening and treatment of anal precancerous lesions at the HIV outpatient department of Amsterdam UMC, in close collaboration with the Departments of Dermatology (prof Henry de Vries) and Pathology (prof Renske Steenbergen).
