Dr Mayura Nathan, MBBS, FRCP (UK)

Dr. Mayura Nathan obtained his primary medical degree from the University of Colombo in 1972. He trained in Dermatology and Genitourinary Medicine in the UK from 1980 to 1987 and was appointed consultant physician in Yorkshire in 1987. Dr. Nathan established a colposcopy clinic locally and in 1989 went on to develop the UK's first high resolution anoscopy (HRA) service. In 1994, he established the Homerton Anogenital Neoplasia Service (HANS) in London. Dr. Nathan led HANS, the tertiary referral center for anogenital neoplasia, until 2018. A prolific researcher and trainer, he founded Europe’s first HRA course and was a key figure in the International Anal Neoplasia Society (IANS).
