Professor Ann Natalie Burchell, PhD

Dr. Ann Burchell is a Scientist at the MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions at Unity Health Toronto, a Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto, and a Canada Research Chair in Sexually Transmitted Infection Prevention. Her research program investigates how to prevent STIs, including HPV and HIV, and their adverse outcomes, particularly cancers caused by these infections. She leads population health and implementation science projects on these topics, with an emphasis on producing evidence that supports their prevention and management in primary care settings.
